Walking
From Bir El Djir, head towards the main road (Route Nationale 11) that runs parallel to the coast. Walk along this road heading northwest for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Révolution. Turn left onto Rue de la Révolution and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs directing you towards Fort of Santa Cruz. Continue along the path which will lead you uphill to the fort entrance. This walk will take around 25-30 minutes.

Public Transport - Bus
From any point in Bir El Djir, locate the nearest bus stop for local buses heading towards Oran city center. Board Bus line 3 or 4, which usually operates every 15-20 minutes. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at 'Place du 1er Novembre' in Oran. There, transfer to Bus line 7 heading towards Santa Cruz. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Santa Cruz stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk uphill to the fort. Total travel time including waiting and walking is about 50-60 minutes.
