    If driving from Oued Righ, head southeast on Route Nationale 3 (RN3) towards El Oued. Continue for approximately 40 kilometers until the turnoff for CC89, then follow CC89 for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for Bordj El Haouas. Oued Ihrir is located near the coordinates CC89+W5M.

    From Oued Righ, take a bus or shared taxi towards El Oued and ask the driver to stop at Bordj El Haouas. The fare is around 200 DZD. From Bordj El Haouas, a short taxi ride (around 100 DZD) will take you to Oued Ihrir at CC89+W5M.

The local economy is centered on agriculture, with production of wheat, dates, figs, grapes, and root crops. Camels, cattle, and goats are grazed, and fishing from the gueltas is also significant. There is also some tourism associated mainly with the nearby frescoes.
