    To reach Djebel Chélia using public transport, start from Khenchela, the nearest major town. Take a bus to Bouhmama; buses run frequently and take about 45 minutes. From Bouhmama, you can either walk 8km to the Djebel Chélia trailhead or hire a local taxi for around 500 DZD. The bus from Khenchela to Bouhmama typically costs around 200 DZD.

  • Car

    If driving, start from Khenchela and head southwest on N77 towards Bouhmama. Continue for approximately 30km until you reach Bouhmama. From there, follow signs or use GPS to navigate to the Djebel Chélia trailhead, about 8km from Bouhmama's center. The final kilometers may be on a less maintained road, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available at the trailhead.

  • Hiking

    From the base of Djebel Chélia, follow the marked trails leading up the mountain. The hike is challenging and takes 2-3 hours to reach the peak.
