Taxi/Louage
From Nefta, the most common approach is by taxi or louage (shared minibus). A taxi or louage ride to Ong Jmal takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Confirm the price before starting your journey, typically around 10-15 Tunisian Dinars. The driver will drop you off near the Eriguet dunes, followed by a short walk to the site.
Car
If driving from Nefta, head southeast on Route P5 for about 35 kilometers. Follow signs for Chott el-Gharsa. As you approach the Eriguet dunes, you will see signs for Ong Jmal. There is a parking area near the site. Be prepared for some unpaved roads; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
