Walking
El Mechouar Palace is located in the heart of Tlemcen, making it easily accessible by foot from many points in the city center. From the Grand Mosque of Tlemcen, walk east along Rue de la Paix, then turn right onto Rue du Palais. The palace entrance will be on your left. Walking within the city center is generally free.

Tlemcen has a network of local buses that serve various parts of the city. From the main bus terminal, take bus line 1 towards the city center. Alight at the Place de la Republique, which is a 5-minute walk to the palace. Local bus fares are typically around 20-30 DZD per ride. From Place de la Republique, walk north towards Rue de la Paix, then turn right onto Rue du Palais. The palace entrance will be on your left.

Taxis are readily available in Tlemcen. A short taxi ride from the Tlemcen Zenata Airport (TLM) to El Mechouar Palace, located in the city center, typically costs between 400 and 600 DZD. Agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey. From the airport, taxis will usually take the main road into the city, following signs for the city center, and then navigate to the palace. A 5km ride in Tlemcen costs about 610 DZD.
