    From the center of Aua, near the local church, head east on East Aua Road towards the coast. After approximately 10 minutes, at a fork in the road, take the left path towards the hills. Continue walking until you reach the base of North Pioa Mountain and the marked trailhead.

    From Pago Pago, take one of the colorful 'aiga' buses towards Aua. These buses depart from the central bus depot at Fagatogo. Ask the driver to drop you off near the center of Aua. From there, follow the walking directions to the mountain's base. A one-way bus fare should cost no more than $2.50.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from Pago Pago International Airport (PPG) or the main town of Fagatogo. A taxi ride to Aua will take approximately 20 minutes. From the center of Aua, follow the walking directions to the mountain's base. Expect to pay around $20-$30 for the taxi ride.
