Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main harbor in Utulei, the Blunts Point Trailhead is located a short walk along the coast road between Faga'alu and Utulei. Look for the sign next to the IBM Laundromat marking the path to this site. Park at the public parking lot on the harbor side, 100 yards from the trailhead. When the trail reaches the water tank, continue past it on the left. There are no fees associated with accessing the trailhead.

  • Public Transport

    From anywhere around Pago Pago Harbor, you can take a local 'aiga' (family) bus towards Utulei. These buses are frequent and cost between $0.50 and $2.00 depending on the distance. Ask the driver to drop you off near the IBM Laundromat on the coast road between Faga'alu and Utulei. From there, follow the walking directions to the trailhead. Be aware that buses do not operate on Sundays.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available at the airport and near the Fagatogo Market. A taxi from the Fagatogo Market to the Blunts Point trailhead area in Utulei will cost approximately $2.00. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. From the drop-off point, follow the walking directions to the trailhead.
