If you're driving from Malanje city, head southwest on the EN-230 road. Continue on this road for about 65 kilometers (approximately 1.5 hours). Look for signs indicating Calandula Falls; you will take a left turn onto a local road that leads directly to the falls. The GPS coordinates are approximately -9.0739269, 16.0010612. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrains, especially closer to the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Calandula Falls using public transport, first, head to the Malanje bus station. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Calandula. The fare is typically around 1,500 Kwanza. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Calandula, you may need to walk or hire a local taxi to get closer to the falls, as public transport may not reach the exact entrance.
