Discover more about Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, Anguilla

Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, graces the southwestern coast of Anguilla, nestled on the idyllic Maundays Bay. This five-star resort is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience steeped in history and natural beauty. The resort's name pays homage to the Arawak rainbow spirit, Juluca, a mystical being believed to bring luck to fishermen. Opened in 1988, Cap Juluca quickly became an icon of luxury, showcasing Anguilla's stunning landscape and the warmth of its people. The original white stucco buildings, with their Moorish arches and domes, were designed by architect Oscar Farmer as his "most romantic architectural creation". Maundays Bay itself is a crescent of ultra-smooth white sand meeting calm, minty-blue waters, making it one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The resort provides luxurious amenities, extending its legendary service right onto the beach. Guests can relax on white loungers, enjoy chilled drinks, and partake in various water activities. Following damage from Hurricane Irma in 2017, Cap Juluca underwent extensive renovations, reopening in 2018 with a renewed commitment to luxury and authenticity. Designer Lauren Rottet incorporated local craftsmanship and a color scheme reflecting the island's natural beauty. Today, Cap Juluca offers a blend of tranquility and indulgence, attracting visitors seeking a serene Caribbean getaway.
