From Falmouth Harbour, head northeast along the waterfront. Continue walking along the main road, which will lead you past various shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards St. John's. After about 20 minutes of walking, you'll reach the intersection with the main road leading to St. John's. Cross over to the opposite side and continue straight. You'll start to see signs for Fort James as you approach the outskirts of St. John's. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes in total.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Falmouth. Head northeast along the main road leading out of Falmouth, cycling along the waterfront. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the intersection with the main road to St. John's. Turn right and continue straight until you see signs for Fort James. The ride should take around 30-35 minutes, depending on your speed.

From Falmouth, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the Falmouth Harbour. Take a bus heading towards St. John's. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Fort James. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. After disembarking, walk towards the direction of the beach, and you will see the entrance to Fort James a short distance away.
