Walking
From Old Road, Signal Hill is accessible by hiking. The trail starts near Fig Tree Studio Art Gallery and Wallings Nature Reserve. Follow the marked paths, keeping an eye out for local flora and fauna. The hike to the summit takes approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your fitness level. Ensure you have appropriate walking shoes and carry water. There is an entrance fee of $10 USD for Wallings Nature Reserve, where the trail originates.
Public Transport
From St. John's, take the #22 bus towards Old Road. The bus makes multiple stops along the way. Once in Old Road, follow the walking guidance to reach the Signal Hill trail. The bus fare from St. John's to Old Road is approximately $3 East Caribbean Dollars (XCD). Be prepared for a 1-2 hour hike from the trailhead to the summit.
Taxi
From Old Road, a taxi can take you closer to the base of Signal Hill, near Wallings Nature Reserve. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. A short taxi ride from Old Road to the trailhead should cost approximately $15-20 USD. From there, follow the walking guidance to reach the summit.
