Getting there

Car

If you're driving, start from the city center of St. John's. Head northeast on Long Street towards the junction with Market Street. Continue straight onto the Sir George Walter Highway (A1). Follow the highway for about 3 kilometers, then take the exit onto the road leading to Fort James. The lighthouse will be on your left as you approach the coast, with a parking area available nearby. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

To reach St John's Lighthouse via public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop in the city center. Look for buses heading towards Fort James or the surrounding coastal areas. The fare is typically around 5-10 ECD. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off near the entrance to Fort James. From there, it's a short walk to the lighthouse, which will be visible along the coast.

Walking

If you are already close to Fort James, you can walk to the St John's Lighthouse. From Fort James, head southeast along the coast for about 500 meters.
