Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Buenos Aires. From the north or south, take the main highways (like Ruta Nacional 7 or 3) leading into the city. Use GPS navigation to directly input the address: Av. 9 de Julio s/n, C1043 Cdad. Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Once you approach the city center, follow signs for 'Obelisco' or look for the Av. 9 de Julio, which is one of the main arteries of Buenos Aires. Parking can be challenging, so consider using public parking lots nearby, which may cost around ARS 100-300 per hour.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach the Obelisco via bus, find a nearby bus stop and look for lines that route through the city center. Common lines include 60, 65, and 107, which connect various neighborhoods to Av. 9 de Julio. Ensure you have a SUBE card for payment, which can be purchased at kiosks or train stations. The fare is approximately ARS 19-30. Once you see the Obelisco, disembark at the nearest stop (look for '9 de Julio' or 'Obelisco').
Public Transportation - Subway
If you prefer the subway, take Line B or Line D to the '9 de Julio' station, which is the closest to the Obelisco. The tickets cost around ARS 19. From the station, follow signs to exit towards Av. 9 de Julio. The Obelisco will be a short walk from there, just a few blocks away.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing app like Uber or Cabify. Input 'Obelisco' or 'Av. 9 de Julio s/n' as your destination. Fares vary depending on distance but expect to pay around ARS 200-500 from most central locations in Buenos Aires. This option is convenient and will drop you off right at the landmark.
Use Obelisco as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
