Car
From Cafayate, head northwest on Route 40 (Ruta Nacional 40) towards the town of San Carlos. Continue on Route 40 for approximately 40 km until you reach the junction with Route 307. Turn left onto Route 307 and follow it for about 30 km. You will see signs for Quilmes Ruins along the way. The entrance to the Quilmes Ruins will be on your right side, just off the main road. Note that there may be a small entrance fee to access the ruins.

From Cafayate, you can take a bus to the town of San Carlos. Buses typically leave from the main bus terminal in Cafayate. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in San Carlos, you will need to catch another bus or a taxi to Quilmes Ruins, which is approximately 20 km away. It's advisable to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Be prepared for a small fee for the bus to San Carlos and an additional cost for the taxi or bus to the ruins.
