From the village of Caviahue, the Cerro Caviahue ski resort is approximately 1.7 miles (2.8 km) away. The drive is relatively straightforward. The road is initially paved but transitions to unpaved. It's generally an easy drive that isn't steep or windy. Free parking is available near the base complex. During winter, ensure your vehicle is equipped with snow tires or chains due to potential snow and ice.
Walking
From most accommodations in the village of Caviahue, the base of Cerro Caviahue is within walking distance. The walk is approximately 1.7 miles (2.8 km) and takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on your location in the village. Follow the main road leading out of town towards the mountain. Be prepared for potential snow or ice on the sidewalks during winter.
