The most common way to access Grey Glacier is via a boat tour on Lago Grey. Tours typically depart from Hotel Lago Grey. From Puerto Natales, take a bus to Torres del Paine National Park (approx. 14,000-25,000 CLP). From the park entrance, it's approximately a 1.5-hour drive to Hotel Lago Grey. Check in at the hotel an hour before departure, then walk 30-45 minutes along the beach to the boat. The boat tour itself lasts around 3 hours, bringing you close to the glacier's face.
