Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from major cities in Eastern Argentina, such as Posadas, head northeast on Route 12. Continue along Route 12 for approximately 300 kilometers (around 4 hours) until you reach the town of Puerto Iguazú. Follow local signs directing you to the Iguazu Falls National Park entrance. Note that there is an entrance fee of around ARS 800 (subject to change), so have cash ready. Parking is available at the park.

• Bus

  Public buses run frequently from major cities to Puerto Iguazú. From Posadas, you can take a bus from the Posadas Bus Terminal to Puerto Iguazú, which typically takes about 5 hours. The cost is approximately ARS 400. Once you arrive at the Puerto Iguazú Bus Terminal, you can take a local taxi or a shuttle service to the Iguazu Falls National Park entrance, which is about 15 minutes away. Expect to pay around ARS 200 for the taxi.

• Taxi or Ride-sharing

  If you're already in Puerto Iguazú and prefer not to walk, you can easily hail a taxi or use a ride-sharing app to get to the Iguazu Falls National Park. The journey is about 15 minutes, and the fare will typically be around ARS 200. Make sure to confirm the price with the driver before starting the ride.

• Walking

  If you're staying in Puerto Iguazú, you can walk to the entrance of the Iguazu Falls National Park, which is about 1.5 km from the town center. This is a pleasant walk along Avenida Victoria Aguirre, where you can enjoy local shops and restaurants along the way. However, be prepared for the weather and wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven.
