Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of San Martín de los Andes, head east on Juez del Valle street towards the treatment plant. Cross the bridge over Pocahullo Creek. Continue along the trails, following signs for Mirador Bandurrias and La Islita. The walk to La Islita is approximately 6 km and takes about 1-1.5 hours. Note that there may be a small entrance fee collected by the Mapuche community.

    From the San Martín de los Andes bus terminal, take a local taxi or remis (private car service) towards La Islita. The ride is approximately 6 km and should take around 15-20 minutes.     From the center of San Martín de los Andes, take Provincial Route 48 towards Hua Hum International Pass.
