Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Los Andes, head southeast on Av. San Martín toward Ruta 7. After about 5 km, take the exit toward Ruta 60. Continue on Ruta 60 for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction with Ruta 40. Turn left onto Ruta 40 and follow the signs for San Martín de los Andes. After about 10 km, look for signs indicating La Islita, which is located approximately 6 km from San Martín de los Andes. You will see signs that will guide you to the beach area.

• Public Transportation

  Start at the Los Andes bus terminal where you can catch a bus to San Martín de los Andes. The bus ride typically costs around 200 ARS and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at San Martín de los Andes, you can take a local taxi or a rideshare service to La Islita. The taxi ride will cost approximately 200 ARS and will take about 15 minutes.

• Walking

  If you find yourself in San Martín de los Andes and wish to walk to La Islita, head southeast on Av. San Martín toward the lakeshore. Follow the lakeshore path for about 6 km, which will take you around an hour and a half. The path is scenic, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the area as you make your way to the beach.
