Getting There

    From the center of San Martín de los Andes, walk towards the lakefront and find the sculpture of Los Ciervos. Follow the road along the lake, heading west. The route to Mirador Bandurrias is approximately 2 km and begins near the sculpture. Look for signs indicating the way to Mirador Bandurrias. The path is uphill and takes about 45 minutes to reach the viewpoint. There is an entrance fee of 5,000 pesos to enter the Mapuche territory.

    From San Martín de los Andes, head southwest on Route 40 and then Route 234. Turn right onto Route 234 and continue for approximately 4 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Mirador Bandurrias. The road to the viewpoint is a gravel road. Drive slowly and cautiously as the road is narrow and in poor condition. There is a parking area near the viewpoint. Before entering the area, there is an access barrier where an entrance fee of 5,000 pesos is charged.

    From the main bus terminal in San Martín de los Andes, take a local bus or shuttle service that goes towards Route 40. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Mirador Bandurrias. From the drop-off point, it is approximately a 2 km walk along a dirt path to reach the Mirador. Be aware of the bus schedule for your return trip. A single bus fare will cost approximately 500-800 ARS.
