Car
From the center of Los Andes, head northwest on Avenida Ricardo Vicuña towards Ruta 60. Continue on Ruta 60, which will take you through scenic mountain landscapes. You'll be driving on a winding road with plenty of curves, so take it slow and enjoy the views. After about 30-40 minutes, you will reach Los Caracoles, which is located along Ruta 60 at coordinates -32.8578, -70.1428. There is usually no entrance fee for this scenic area, but be mindful of parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Los Caracoles via public transportation, start at the Los Andes bus terminal, located at Avenida San Martín. Look for buses heading towards the border with Argentina or specifically to the 'Los Caracoles' area. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes and costs around 2,000 CLP (Chilean Pesos). Make sure to inform the driver that you want to stop at Los Caracoles. The buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive at the Los Caracoles stop, you can enjoy the scenic views and take pictures.
