Car
If you're driving, start from the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. Head southwest on Route 40 for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach Route 231. Turn left onto Route 231, which will take you through beautiful landscapes. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the entrance of Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi. Pay the park entrance fee (approximately 800 ARS per vehicle). Continue on the park road for about 10 kilometers until you reach Playa Del Toro, located on Isla Victoria. There are clear signs along the route to guide you.
Public Transportation
To reach Playa Del Toro via public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from San Carlos de Bariloche to Puerto Pañuelo. Buses leave frequently and the fare is around 300 ARS. Once you arrive at Puerto Pañuelo, transfer to a boat service that operates to Isla Victoria. The boat ride will take about 30 minutes and typically costs around 1500 ARS round trip. Upon arriving at Isla Victoria, follow the designated trails to Playa Del Toro, which is a short walk from the docking area.
Combination (Car + Boat)
If you have a car but prefer not to drive the entire way, you can drive to Puerto Pañuelo (about 25 kilometers from Bariloche) and park there. From Puerto Pañuelo, take the boat service to Isla Victoria as mentioned previously. This allows you to enjoy the scenic drive to the dock and then enjoy a relaxing boat ride to Playa Del Toro.
