Car
If you are driving, start from Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego Province. Take Route 3 heading west out of the city. After approximately 7 km, turn left onto the road signposted for the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the park entrance. Make sure to pay the entrance fee, which is around ARS 600 per person (prices may vary). Once inside the park, follow the signs toward the 'Laguna de los Témpanos' trailhead.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus from Ushuaia to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Buses to the park leave from the main terminal in Ushuaia. Look for the bus service that goes to 'Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego.' The ticket costs about ARS 800. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you'll need to walk to the 'Laguna de los Témpanos' trailhead, which is about a 30-minute walk from the entrance.
Hiking
From the 'Laguna de los Témpanos' trailhead, you will embark on a hike to Glaciar Vinciguerra. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to reach the glacier. The hike is moderately challenging, so make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots and bring water and snacks. Follow the trail alongside the lake until you reach the glacier viewpoint.
