From the center of Tilcara, head southwest on Ruta 9. Continue on Ruta 9 for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Ruta 66. Turn left onto Ruta 66 and follow the signs for 'Puente de Hierro'. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to the parking area for Puente de Hierro. Park your car and walk to the bridge, which is a short distance away.

To reach Puente de Hierro via public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Tilcara. Look for a local minibus or colectivo heading towards Purmamarca or Huacalera. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Puente de Hierro; they are familiar with the location. This ride typically costs around 20 Argentine Pesos. From the drop-off point, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the bridge. Follow the path toward the river, and you will see the bridge in the distance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Tilcara. From the town center, head southwest on Ruta 9. After about 3 kilometers, turn left onto Ruta 66. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring water, as the area can be quite dry.

For the adventurous, you can walk to Puente de Hierro from Tilcara. Start from the main square and walk along Avenida 9 de Julio towards the southwest exit of town.
