Getting There

Car
If you're driving from Puerto Natales, take Route 9 towards Torres del Paine National Park. The drive takes approximately 2 hours (approximately 125 km). Once you enter the park, follow the signs to the Serrano area. After entering the park, continue to the Serrano River viewpoint. From there, you will need to park your car and walk approximately 1.5 km along the trail to reach the Mirador Serrano Glacier viewpoint. There is a park entrance fee of around CLP 8,000 (approximately USD 10) per person.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park. Several companies offer this service, and the journey takes about 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can either arrange for a shuttle service or walk to the Serrano area. If walking, it is approximately a 10 km hike from the park entrance to the Serrano Glacier viewpoint. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.

To reach Mirador Serrano Glacier, you can also consider taking a boat from the port of Puerto Natales to the Serrano Glacier area. This scenic route offers stunning views of the landscape. The boat ride generally takes about 2 hours. After arriving at the Serrano area, you'll need to disembark and walk approximately 500 meters to the viewpoint. The boat tickets usually range from CLP 30,000 to CLP 50,000 (approximately USD 40 to USD 65), depending on the season and operator.
