Walking
If you are staying in the central area of Ushuaia, head towards Avenida San Martín, which is the main street. Walk down Avenida San Martín until you reach the end of the street at the intersection with Avenida Maipú. Turn left onto Avenida Maipú and continue walking until you reach the bus station (Terminal de Ómnibus), which is a major landmark. From the bus station, you can catch a local bus (Line A or Line B) heading towards the 'Tren del Fin del Mundo'. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Estación del Tren del Fin del Mundo'. Follow the signs to the entrance of Estación La Macarena.
Public Bus
From the city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida San Martín. Take any bus heading to the 'Tren del Fin del Mundo' (this will be indicated on the bus). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye out for the stop 'Estación del Tren del Fin del Mundo', which is where you will disembark. After getting off, you will see signs directing you to Estación La Macarena.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Ushuaia. Simply tell the driver 'Estación La Macarena' or 'Tren del Fin del Mundo' and they will take you directly to the station. The fare may vary depending on your location, but expect it to be around 300-500 Argentine Pesos from the city center. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
