Getting There

• Public Bus

  Start at the Ushuaia city center, either near the Plaza 25 de Mayo or at the main bus terminal. Look for the bus routes that go towards 'Cerro Castor' or 'Punta Arenas.' These buses will stop near the entrance to the Valle Carbajal area. You will want to take a bus that has 'RN3' in its route description. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to stop at the Mirador del Valle Carbajal. The drive will take approximately 20-30 minutes. After you get off the bus, follow the signs that lead you to the Mirador, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  From any location in Ushuaia, you can easily catch a taxi or use a rideshare app to get to Mirador del Valle Carbajal. Simply provide the driver with the address: RN3 3042, Tierra del Fuego. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance uphill to reach the viewpoint.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are starting from the city center, you can walk to Mirador del Valle Carbajal. Head east on Av. San Martín until you reach Av. Maipú, then turn left. Continue walking until you reach RN3. Follow RN3 towards the southeast for about 5 kilometers. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for varying weather conditions. The route will provide beautiful views along the way.
