Discover more about Electric Brewing and Bisbee Sodawerks

Electric Brewing and Bisbee Sodawerks, a pioneering establishment in Arizona's craft brewing scene, offers a unique experience steeped in local history and flavor. Founded in 1988, it stands as the state's first microbrewery, a testament to its enduring appeal and commitment to quality. Located in the San Jose neighborhood of Bisbee, about three miles from Old Bisbee, the brewery offers a laid-back atmosphere. This location, part of a shopping center built in 1953 when the town's mining industry was still booming, provides ample parking and views of Mexico. Electric Brewing prides itself on its handcrafted beverages. They offer a variety of beers, including some of the original recipes, alongside their own kombucha and hand-crafted sodas under the name Bisbee Sodawerks. The taproom is open six days a week, inviting visitors to sample their creations. Live music on weekends and karaoke on Fridays add to the vibrant atmosphere. The brewery самоdistributes its products to locations in Bisbee, Douglas, Sierra Vista and Tucson. This allows them to maintain control over quality and ensure that their beverages are enjoyed fresh. Electric Brewing's story is intertwined with the history of craft brewing in Arizona. Dave Harvan, an electrician and home brewer, moved to Bisbee in 1978 and successfully lobbied the state legislature to allow small breweries to open. This paved the way for Electric Brewing to become a reality, marking a significant moment in Arizona's brewing history. Joe Fredrickson and his wife reopened the doors on August 12th, 2020, with the original name, but Joe as the brewer.
