Getting There

  • Public Transit

    To reach Mescal Trail from downtown Flagstaff, start by heading to the nearest bus stop for the Mountain Line routes at the Flagstaff Visitor Center located at 1 E Route 66. Take the Route 10 bus towards the Arizona Snowbowl. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Snowbowl' stop. From there, you will need to walk along Snowbowl Road for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Mescal Trail. The trailhead will be on your right.

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in downtown Flagstaff. Start at the Flagstaff Bike Shop on 6 N San Francisco St. Head north on San Francisco St and turn left onto E Route 66. Continue on Route 66 for about 2 miles until you reach Snowbowl Road. Turn right onto Snowbowl Road and cycle for approximately 1.5 miles until you see the Mescal Trail entrance on your right.

    If you're up for a walk, head to the Flagstaff Visitor Center at 1 E Route 66. From there, walk north on San Francisco St. Continue straight as San Francisco St becomes N Pine Ave. After about a mile, turn left onto Snowbowl Road.
