Walking
If you are in the central area of Sedona, start at the Sedona Community Center located at 2615 Melody Lane. From there, head south on Melody Lane until you reach 89A. Turn left onto 89A and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles. You will see a sign for the Mescal Trailhead on your right. Follow the sign and take the trail that leads into the beautiful red rocks.
Biking
Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Sedona. Start from the Sedona Bike & Bean, located at 101 N State Route 89A. From there, head west on 89A towards Dry Creek Road. After about 2 miles, take a right onto Dry Creek Road, then follow until you see the sign for the Mescal Trailhead on your left. Lock your bike at the trailhead and enjoy your hike.
Public Transport
Take the local shuttle service known as the Sedona Shuttle. Board the shuttle at the Uptown Sedona stop. Ask the driver to let you off at the Mescal Trailhead stop. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes, so be sure to check the schedule when you board. Once you arrive at the trailhead, you can begin your hike immediately.
