Getting There

  • Public Bus

    To reach the Vultee Arch Trailhead from downtown Flagstaff, take the Mountain Line bus (Route 10) towards Sedona. Board the bus at the Flagstaff City Hall stop. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Sedona Park-and-Ride location, disembark and head to the bus stop for the Verde Shuttle. Board the Verde Shuttle, which will take you closer to the Vultee Arch area. Make sure to ask the driver to let you off at the Vultee Arch Trailhead. The trailhead is a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Biking

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Flagstaff. Start your ride on the Arizona Trail that leads south from Flagstaff. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Forest Road 525. Turn right on Forest Road 525 and continue biking until you reach the Vultee Arch Trailhead. The total distance is approximately 20 miles and will take around 2 hours depending on your pace.

    For the adventurous, you can walk or hike to the Vultee Arch Trailhead from Flagstaff. Start at the Flagstaff Visitor Center and head south on Route 66.
