Getting There

Walking

The Herberger Theater Center is located in downtown Phoenix, easily accessible on foot from many nearby hotels, restaurants, and attractions. From the Phoenix Convention Center, walk north on 2nd Street for two blocks. The theater will be on your left, between Monroe and Van Buren Streets. Walking time is approximately 5-10 minutes. Be aware of street closures due to construction.

The Valley Metro Light Rail is a convenient way to reach the Herberger Theater Center. Exit the Light Rail at the Van Buren/1st Avenue stop. Walk east on Van Buren Street, then turn right onto 2nd Street. The theater will be on your left. The walk is approximately 6 minutes. A single ride on the light rail costs $2.00.

The Herberger Theater Center features three stages: Center Stage (seats 800), Stage West (seats 320), and the Performance Outreach Theater (Kax Stage, seats 120). Each year, the theater hosts more than 40 different performances and welcomes approximately 120,000 patrons, including 30,000 school-aged children. The center is home to several resident companies, and also hosts gallery shows and special events. The Herberger Theater Center is committed to arts education, offering programs such as the Arizona Young Artists' Competition and collaborations with organizations like Free Arts for Abused Children.
