From the center of Gilbert, head to the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. Take the bus route 136 towards the Gilbert Road Light Rail. Ride the bus until you reach the Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard stop. From there, transfer to bus route 81 heading towards North Scottsdale. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop closest to 12601 N 124th St. Walk north on 124th St for about 10 minutes until you reach the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Gilbert. Start your ride on the Greenbelt Pathway towards the north. Follow the pathway until you reach the intersection of Hayden Road and Via de Ventura. Turn left onto Hayden Road and continue until you reach the intersection with Shea Boulevard. Turn right onto Shea Boulevard and ride until you reach 124th St. Turn left onto 124th St and bike north for about 5 minutes to reach the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead.

Turn left on Warner Road and continue until you reach the intersection with McQueen Road. Turn right on McQueen Road and walk until you reach the intersection with Shea Boulevard. Turn left onto Shea Boulevard and walk until you reach 124th St. Finally, turn right onto 124th St and walk for about 15 minutes to reach the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead.
