Public Bus
To reach the Gateway Loop Trail from downtown Scottsdale, head to the nearest bus stop on Scottsdale Road. Take the Valley Metro Bus Route 72 heading north towards Phoenix. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and East Bell Road. From there, transfer to Bus Route 208, which is heading east. Get off at the next stop at the intersection of East Bell Road and North 100th Street. Walk north on 100th Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to the Gateway Loop Trail.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Scottsdale. Head north on Scottsdale Road until you reach East Bell Road. Turn east on Bell Road and continue until you reach North 100th Street. Turn north on 100th Street, and after about a half mile, you will see the entrance to the Gateway Loop Trail. Ensure to bring water and wear a helmet for safety.
Walking
If you are already nearby, you can walk to the Gateway Loop Trail. Start from the nearest landmark, such as the Scottsdale Waterfront. Head north on Scottsdale Road, then take a right on East Bell Road. Continue walking east until you reach North 100th Street. Walk north on 100th Street for about 0.5 miles. The entrance to the Gateway Loop Trail will be on your right. It's a pleasant walk, so enjoy the scenery along the way.
