To reach St. Mary's Roman Catholic Basilica from Gilbert, catch the Valley Metro bus route 104 at the Gilbert Road and Main Street bus stop. Ride the bus towards Phoenix for approximately 45 minutes. Disembark at the 3rd Street and Washington Street stop. From there, walk north on 3rd Street for about 5 minutes until you reach 231 N 3rd St, where the basilica is located.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Gilbert. Head west on the Gilbert Heritage Trail towards Phoenix. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and continue until you reach 3rd Street. Turn left on 3rd Street and ride north for about 3 blocks until you arrive at 231 N 3rd St.

For those who are up for a bit of exercise, you can walk from the center of Gilbert to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Basilica. Start at the Gilbert Town Square and head west on the pedestrian-friendly sidewalks towards the intersection of Gilbert Road and Main Street. From there, follow the route to the nearest bus stop to catch a bus towards Phoenix, or walk north to the Valley Metro Light Rail station at the corner of Gilbert Road and Main Street. Board a train towards Phoenix and get off at the 3rd Street station. Walk north on 3rd Street to reach the basilica.
