Getting There

  • Driving

    To reach Angels Window, start from the North Rim Visitor Center and drive 23 miles south on Cape Royal Road. The parking area for the Cape Royal Trail, which includes Angels Window, is at the end of this road. Note that Cape Royal Road is only open from mid-May to mid-October. There are no entrance fees specific to Angels Window, but there is a $30 fee to enter Grand Canyon National Park. This is good for seven days, and covers both the vehicle and all passengers.

  • Shuttle

    During the operating season for the North Rim (mid-May to mid-October), a Trans-Canyon Shuttle operates between the North and South Rims. The check-in point on the North Rim is in front of the Grand Canyon Lodge. From the lodge, you would still need to drive to Angels Window. The shuttle is approximately 4.5 hours ONE WAY. Reservations should be made 48 hours prior to desired trip time, but last minute reservations are available. The cost is around $90 per person.
