Getting There

  • Shuttle Bus

    To reach Mohave Point, take the free Hermit Road Shuttle (Red Route) from the Grand Canyon Village. This shuttle is the primary means of access as Hermit Road is closed to private vehicles from March 1st to November 30th. From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, take the free Village Route (Blue Route) to the Hermit Road Transfer. Then, transfer to the Hermit Road Shuttle. The Red Route operates with buses arriving every 15-30 minutes. No tickets are required. The shuttle stops directly at Mohave Point. A round trip on the Hermit Road Shuttle, without getting off, takes approximately 80 minutes. There are no additional costs beyond the park entrance fee.

  • Walking

    Alternatively, you can walk to Mohave Point along the Canyon Rim Trail. From Grand Canyon Village, follow the paved Rim Trail west. The trail runs parallel to Hermit Road, offering scenic views along the way. Mohave Point is approximately 5 miles (8 km) from the village. Allow ample time for the walk, and be sure to bring water and sun protection. There are no additional costs involved.
