Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the nearest major town, which is Peach Springs, AZ. From Peach Springs, take AZ-66 E until you reach the Hualapai Hilltop. This is the last point accessible by vehicle. The drive takes about 1 hour. Note that the road conditions can vary, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrains. At Hualapai Hilltop, you can park your car for a fee (approximately $10, cash only).

• Hike

  From Hualapai Hilltop, you will need to hike approximately 10 miles down to Havasu Canyon. The trail is steep and can be challenging, so pack plenty of water and snacks. The hike generally takes about 4-6 hours. Follow the marked trail signs to ensure you stay on track. Be prepared for changing weather conditions and wear appropriate hiking gear.

• Mule Transport

  If hiking is not an option, you may consider using a mule service which can transport you and your gear down the trail. Reservations are necessary and should be made in advance, as they can fill up quickly. The cost for the mule service typically starts around $250 one way. • Public Transportation

  If you're relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound bus to Kingman, AZ. From Kingman, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service to Peach Springs, then proceed as described above to Hualapai Hilltop. Check local shuttle services for availability and pricing, as they can vary.
