Getting There

• Car

  From the main roads in Kaibab National Forest, head towards US-89 North. If you are near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, exit the park and take AZ-67 South to reach US-89. Continue on US-89 North for approximately 70 miles until you reach the town of Page, AZ. Once in Page, turn left onto Overlook Drive. Follow Overlook Drive until you reach the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook parking area. Note that there is no entrance fee specifically for the overlook, but accessing the surrounding areas may incur costs.

• Public Transportation

  If you are relying on public transportation, your best option is to take a bus from Flagstaff or other nearby cities to Page, AZ. Greyhound and other bus services operate routes to Page. Once you arrive in Page, you can use a taxi or rideshare service to reach Glen Canyon Dam Overlook. The distance from the bus station to the overlook is about 5 miles, so it’s advisable to arrange for a ride ahead of time to ensure you make it to the overlook comfortably.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking from Page to Glen Canyon Dam Overlook is a possibility. Rent a bicycle in Page and head east on Overlook Drive, which will lead you directly to the overlook. It’s approximately a 5-mile ride, and you’ll enjoy scenic views along the way. Ensure that you have a helmet and follow all safety guidelines. Also, be mindful of the weather conditions, especially during the hotter months.
