Mallard Cove is accessible via the Mallard Cove Trail, a 5.3-mile loop that also leads to BLM campsites. The trailhead is located at the south end of Powell Drive. From there, follow the trail, keeping an eye out for the path that goes up the rocks on the left side as you head into the main wash. Note that there may be a user fee of $10 per day for being within 200 feet of the campsites for more than 20 minutes.
