The bridge was dismantled, and each stone was numbered before being shipped to Lake Havasu City. Reassembly began in 1968, and the bridge was completed in 1971, connecting the mainland to Pittsburgh Point, which became an island after the Bridgewater Channel was dug. Today, visitors can still see the numbering on many of the stones. The park is open from dawn until 11:00 p.m., offering ample time to enjoy its many amenities.
