Getting There

    From the center of Henderson, start at the intersection of E Lake Mead Pkwy and Water Street. Head east on E Lake Mead Pkwy towards Boulder Hwy/NV-582. Drive along E Lake Mead Pkwy for approximately 3.5 miles. Turn right onto Boulder Hwy/NV-582 and continue for about 1.5 miles. The museum will be on your right at 1830 S Boulder Hwy. Ample parking is available. There are no tolls on this route. Parking is free.

    From Harry Reid International Airport, take the line 109 bus to the SSTT Exit. Transfer to the line 217 bus to EB Burkholder after Pueblo, and then take the NB Racetrack after Newport to the museum. Alternatively, from Excalibur Hotel and Casino, take the line 201 bus to WB Tropicana after Andover, then transfer to a bus that stops at SB Boulder after Equestrian Bhx. From there, it is a 10-minute walk to the museum. A single ride on the RTC costs $6.

Step back in time at the Clark County Museum, a 30-acre site in Henderson, Nevada, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of Southern Nevada. Operated by Clark County, the museum features the Anna Roberts Parks Exhibit Hall, Heritage Street, and various outdoor exhibits that tell the story of the region from prehistoric times to the present. The Anna Roberts Parks Exhibit Hall presents a timeline of Southern Nevada's history, starting with the area's earliest inhabitants, including the ancient Puebloans and Paiute people. See authentic artifacts such as knives, pottery, and jewelry. The exhibit hall continues through the arrival of settlers and explorers in the 1800s, highlighting mining, railroads, and the rise of gaming. Heritage Street is a unique highlight, featuring eight historic buildings from Las Vegas, Boulder City and Henderson that have been relocated and restored to depict daily life in different eras. Wander through furnished homes from the early 1900s to the 1950s, including the Giles/Barcus House (circa 1905) and the Beckley House (1912). Don't miss the Candlelight Wedding Chapel, once a famous Las Vegas Strip landmark. Additional outdoor exhibits include a 1932 Boulder City train depot, a collection of railroad cars, vintage vehicles like a 1946 Plymouth Coupe and a 1959 Studebaker Lark, and a recreated ghost town. Interactive displays throughout the museum allow visitors to touch and hold relics like butter molds and branding irons.
