    If starting from Chandler City Hall (175 S Arizona Ave), head south on Arizona Ave, turn left onto E Buffalo St, then right onto S Oregon St which becomes E Ocotillo Rd. The Edwards House is located within Tumbleweed Park at 2250 S. McQueen Road, a roughly 40-minute walk. No entry fee to the park or to view the exterior of the house.

    From Chandler Fashion Center, walk to the bus stop near N Arizona Ave and W Chandler Blvd. Take Valley Metro Bus Route 156 towards Phoenix, then transfer to Route 120 south at 'Chandler Bl & McQueen' stop. Get off at 'Ocotillo Rd & 68th St'. The Edwards House is a 10-minute walk west. A single ride on Valley Metro bus costs $2. Chandler Flex, the city’s on-demand public transportation, is another option. Rides cost $2, with additional passengers costing $1 each.

The Edwards House, situated in Chandler's Tumbleweed Park, is a tangible link to the city's past. Constructed in 1913, a year after Chandler was founded, by Will and Grace Robinson, who ordered it from the Aladdin Company catalog as the 'Maples' model. In 1923, the Edwards family, known for building the McCroskey House, moved in. Bertha Edwards, the eldest daughter and a long-time Chandler school teacher, was its last resident, living there until her death in 1989.The bungalow, originally located on Washington Street, was among the first homes built east of Arizona Avenue and north of Buffalo Street. Acquired by the City of Chandler in 2002 during a period of downtown redevelopment, it was moved to Tumbleweed Park. While the house is currently under renovation and not open to the public, its exterior provides a captivating glimpse into early 20th-century life in Chandler.Visitors can stroll around the house and appreciate its well-preserved architecture and historical significance. The surrounding landscape adds to its appeal, offering a peaceful setting for reflection. The Edwards House stands as a reminder of Chandler's agricultural heritage and the families who shaped the community.
