  • Public Bus

    From downtown Mesa, head to the nearest bus stop and catch Valley Metro Route 30 heading towards the Scottsdale area. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-35 minutes until you reach the 'North Scottsdale Rd & Thompson Peak Pkwy' stop. Once you get off, walk north on Thompson Peak Parkway for about 10 minutes until you reach the Gateway Trailhead entrance on your left.

  • Biking

    If you're up for a bike ride, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Mesa. Start on the Recker Road bike path heading north. Follow the path until you connect to the Greenbelt Trail. Continue on the Greenbelt Trail heading west until you reach Scottsdale. Once you arrive at Thompson Peak Parkway, turn left and bike for about 2 miles to reach the Gateway Trailhead.
