Getting There

• Public Transit

  If you are starting from downtown Phoenix, take the Valley Metro light rail from the 'Central Ave & Washington' station heading toward 'Mesa'. Get off at the 'Central Ave & Northern' station. From there, transfer to bus route 10 (the bus stop is nearby). Take the bus heading north and get off at the 'Piestewa Peak Dr & 24th St' stop. Walk east on Piestewa Peak Dr, and you will reach the entrance to the Phoenix Mountains Preserve at 2701 Piestewa Peak Dr.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Phoenix. From downtown, head north on 7th Ave until you reach E Northern Ave. Continue east on Northern Ave until you reach 24th St. Turn north on 24th St to Piestewa Peak Dr. Follow Piestewa Peak Dr east until you reach the entrance to the Phoenix Mountains Preserve at 2701 Piestewa Peak Dr.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, start from the nearest major landmark, such as the Phoenix Art Museum. Walk north on Central Ave until you reach E Northern Ave, then turn right (east) on Northern Ave. Continue walking until you reach 24th St, then turn left (north) on 24th St. Finally, turn right on Piestewa Peak Dr and walk east until you arrive at the entrance of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve at 2701 Piestewa Peak Dr.
