To reach Signal Hill Trail, start at the Tucson Downtown area. Head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Sun Tran bus route #18 towards 'Tucson Mall'. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'W. Valencia Rd./S. Mission Rd.' stop. From there, transfer to bus route #29 towards 'Valencia/Santa Cruz'. Ride for another 15 minutes until you arrive at 'W. Ajo Way/S. 12th Ave.' From this stop, Signal Hill Trail is about a 15-minute walk. Head west on W. Ajo Way, then turn right onto S. Mission Rd. Continue north until you reach the entrance of the trailhead.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from a local shop in downtown Tucson. Start by heading southwest on W. Congress St. towards S. 6th Ave. Continue on S. 6th Ave. until you reach W. Ajo Way. Turn right and bike along W. Ajo Way for about 3 miles. Once you reach S. Mission Rd, take a left, and Signal Hill Trail will be on your right. The total biking distance is approximately 5 miles, and the route is mostly flat, making it manageable for most cyclists.

For those who enjoy walking and want to soak in the sights, start in the Tucson city center. Walk southwest toward W. Congress St., then continue to W. 18th St. Walk on W. 18th St. until you reach S. 6th Ave. From there, head south along S. 6th Ave. until you hit W. Ajo Way. Turn left and walk east for about 2 miles. When you reach S. Mission Rd, turn right, and after about a mile, you will find the Signal Hill Trailhead. This walk is approximately 6 miles and will take you through some local neighborhoods, giving you a taste of Tucson life.
