In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Manning family transformed Canoa Ranch into one of the most progressive and expansive ranches in the Southwest. Their innovations in cattle breeding and horse raising, coupled with their extensive land holdings, made Canoa Ranch a social and economic hub in the Santa Cruz Valley.Today, visitors can explore the 30-acre ranch headquarters, known as Hacienda de la Canoa, which has been carefully restored to reflect its 1920s appearance.
