Getting There

• Shuttle Bus

  From Sedona, head to the nearest shuttle bus stop, which is located near the Sedona Visitor Center at 331 Forest Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336. Take the Verde Lynx Shuttle, which operates a route to Cottonwood. Confirm the schedule as it may vary, and ask the driver to drop you off at the Dead Horse Ranch State Park stop. The park is approximately a 5-minute walk from the shuttle stop.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're up for an adventure, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Sedona, such as 'Sedona Bike & Bean'. From there, head south on AZ-89A. Follow the bike lane, and continue for about 12 miles until you reach Dead Horse Ranch Rd. Turn left onto Dead Horse Ranch Rd, and the park entrance will be on your left after about half a mile.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start at the Sedona Public Library located at 3250 White Bear Rd, Sedona, AZ 86336. Walk south towards AZ-89A and follow the path to the intersection with Dead Horse Ranch Rd. Once on Dead Horse Ranch Rd, continue straight for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Dead Horse Ranch State Park.

  You can easily use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft from anywhere in Sedona. Simply download the app, enter 'Dead Horse Ranch State Park, 675 Dead Horse Ranch Rd, Cottonwood, AZ 86326' as your destination, and request a ride. The drivers will take you directly to the park's entrance.
