Car
From Saguaro National Park, head south towards Tucson. Merge onto I-10 W from Saguaro National Park. Continue on I-10 W for approximately 50 miles. Take exit 151 for AZ-85 S towards Ajo. Follow AZ-85 S for about 54 miles. When you reach Ajo, turn right onto AZ-86 W and follow it for about 12 miles. Then turn left onto Organ Pipe Dr, and continue for about 3 miles until you reach the entrance of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Note that there is an entrance fee of $25 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this area. You can take a Greyhound bus from Tucson to Ajo. Once in Ajo, you will need to arrange for local transportation via taxi or rideshare service to reach Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, which is about 30 minutes away by car. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time to ensure availability. Keep in mind that the cost of the Greyhound ticket varies based on the time of booking and availability.
Bicycle
For the adventurous traveler, consider cycling from Saguaro National Park to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. This route is quite long (approximately 80 miles) and requires good preparation. Start by traveling south on local roads to connect to I-10 W, then use AZ-85 S towards Ajo. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are limited services along the way.
