Car
If you're driving to Mars Hill, start on AZ-180 W from San Francisco Peaks. Continue on AZ-180 W for about 5 miles, then turn right onto N Fort Valley Rd. Drive for about 1 mile, and then turn left onto W Mars Hill Rd. Follow this road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the parking area near the base of Mars Hill. Please note that parking may be limited, especially on weekends, so arrive early if possible.
Public Transportation
To reach Mars Hill via public transportation, take the Mountain Line bus (Route 10) from the San Francisco Peaks area to the Flagstaff Downtown Transfer Center. From the transfer center, you can catch the Mountain Line Route 5, which will take you towards Mars Hill. Get off at the closest stop to Mars Hill, then walk approximately 0.5 miles to the base of the hill. Be aware that bus schedules may vary, so check the Mountain Line website for the latest timetables. A bus fare of $1.00 is required for a single ride.
Walking
If you're already in the surrounding area of Mars Hill and prefer walking, you can find trails leading up to Mars Hill from nearby paths. For example, if you are near the Flagstaff Urban Trail System, you can follow signs towards Mars Hill. The hike to the top typically takes about 30-45 minutes, and it offers stunning views of the surrounding area along the way.
